Gene Eiden

Under trumpeter Gene Eiden’s direction, the Rochester Lourdes High School Band, even though a private school, was “Rochester’s Band”– playing every ribbon-cutting, every parade, and every Memorial Day service, and on and on… and winning many awards along the way. Whenever a dignitary or foreign Head of State arrived at the airport to go to the Mayo Clinic, the band was there at the mayor’s request, giving a rousing welcome. Eiden was a bugler when he was in the United States Army and continues to this day playing the bugle at all the military funerals in Rochester. Gene has played with many musical groups throughout the years.
