During his school years in Arlington, Minnesota, Mike Glieden (pronounced glee-din) learned to play horns in the school band, and he sang in chorus, quartets, and trios. In 1957 he was introduced to guitar and became hooked for life. This led to the birth of the famous Rhythm Kings, an award-winning Rock N Roll band based in Hutchinson, Minnesota. Mike and the band backed up legendary Texas rockabilly hitmaker Buddy Knox and other national recording stars. Mike & The Rhythm Kings filled out decades playing shows on radio and TV, at ballrooms, on tours, and recording now highly-sought-after record albums and singles.
