The Daisy Dillman Band
Inducted 2006
Twin Cities-based Daisy Dillman Band formed in 1976 simply because Pat Frederick, Steve Solmonson, Steve Seamans, and Michael Wold liked each other’s music-making and especially singing. When drummer Dan Flaherty joined the group, that was when the magic really started. Within months, the band became favorites in the region and bussed hundreds of miles through Lake Country to play in every imaginable venue. Their first self-titled LP was released on major label United Artists Records, and was recommended in several national trade publications. This led to a second record with RCA Records. The band shortened their name to The Dillman Band and their Lovin’ the Night Away album made the Billboard national album chart. In 2003, they had a reunion in the Twin Cities, and they now perform several reunion shows each year for their faithful fans.
