Canoise

Inducted 2012

Founded in the fall of 1965, rock and roll band Canoise consisted of four freshmen at St. Cloud College. They released their first 45rpm single in 1966 and over the next couple of years had a lot of turnover of band members. By 1968 all original band members had left. In 1970, the band reformed and were based in Hawaii for over two years before they returned to touring. This version of the band lasted until 1974 and they reformed again in 1981 and toured around Minnesota to mark their 25th anniversary. They have since released three CDs covering the entire history of Canoise, including the band’s first 45, “Something I Could Do.”
