Irv Williams

Known as “Mr. Smooth”, Irv Williams was a jazz master musician at saxophone and a true Minnesota music legend. An unusually long career saw Irv still performing weekly- into his 90s- at the Dakota Jazz Club in downtown Minneapolis. In 1984 he was the first jazz musician to be honored by the State of Minnesota with his own “Irv Williams Day”, and he has won many awards through his career.
