Guitarist Steve and his brother Mike formed the Mankato-based Murphy Brothers Band in 1977. Developing over many passionate years of playing and writing music, the band’s dedicated and hard-working members and crew were the top rock and blues band in Southern Minnesota for decades. From Steve’s roots in Fairmont, Minnesota’s 1960s rockers The Epicureans & 1970s hard-rockers Highway, The Murphy Brothers Band brought high-energy performances to their appreciative audiences.
