Tonic Sol-fa began at St. John’s University in Central Minnesota in the late 1990s. The group was established not only as the most in-demand vocal group in the Midwest, but also one of the most successful independent acts in America. In addition to impressive CD album sales, they have toured extensively throughout the United States and abroad with a steady list of festivals and private shows that led to numerous sold-out tours of theaters and small arenas. The New York Times described Tonic Sol Fa’s sound as “a vocal kaleidoscope…unique to the human voice”.
