Rick Kvam

Rick Kvam studied music at Harvard University in Massachusetts, singing and acting as Assistant Conductor for The Harvard Glee Club. He pursued a Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati’s Conservatory of Music. In 1985 Rick founded and was the 50-year Conductor of The Choral Arts Ensemble in Rochester, Minnesota, which has been inspiring audiences throughout Southeast Minnesota with performances of outstanding choral music. The singers are active community members from a wide variety of professions- including teachers, farmers, doctors, bankers, computer technicians, and church leaders- all drawn together to create excellent music and contribute to an artistically thriving life. Rick retired as Conductor in 2024.
