Born October 3, 1938 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, Eddie Cochran was the youngest of five children born to Alice and Frank Cochran. He got his first guitar at age 12. Eddie sang and played country western, but
became excited by rock and roll, which caused his career to skyrocket. Eddie recorded for major label Liberty Records, and his biggest hits were “Summertime Blues” and “C’mon Everybody”. He was featured in the Hollywood film Go Johnny Go, released in 1959. In 1987, Eddie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1991 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Minnesota
Music Academy in Minneapolis. Eddie Cochran tragically died in a car accident in England at the young age of 21 years old. Eddie always autographed his pictures “Don’t Forget Me”, and he will never be forgotten.
