Frank Heck

From New Ulm, Minnesota, Frank Heck knew he wanted to play violin when he was five years old. That’s how old he was when his uncle took him to his first concert to see the Chicago Philharmonic at the New Ulm Amory. At age 67, Frank founded the New Ulm Area Civic Orchestra of which he was Director and Conductor until retiring at age 90.
