The group was hired to play dance music and to back various celebrities at Diamond Lil\u2019s nightclub in downtown Minneapolis. In the fall of 1968, they signed on as the house band at Diamond Jim\u2019s, a private nightclub in Mendota where they played 45 to 50 weeks a year doing warm-up shows and backing celebrities. The Swinging Ambassadors were on-the-go all of the time&#8230; performing at many venues in Chicago, Las Vegas, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, and they produced three albums.
