Bandleader & accordionist Dick Macko was in the band business for over 50 years. He played Big Band variety music from the 1960\u2019s through the 90\u2019s in numerous ballrooms in the Twin Cities area. Over the years he also played in a small combo at various VFW and Legion Clubs in Minnesota, where he performed many nightclub-style shows. His music was heard and enjoyed at all of the different professional sporting events in the Twin Cities. Dick spent May through October in Minnesota doing senior dances, anniversaries, and events such as Oktoberfest celebrations in the Fall. During November through April if you wanted to hear Dick perform his music, you’d need to take a trip to Sun City, Arizona. Dick Macko was a dedicated, long-lasting, and hard-working professional musician.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
